As a writer I have written, illustrated and published a children’s book using the themes of unity, diversity and acceptance.

My second book is about my time in a beautiful Lakeland valley

Having escaped as a refugee to England in the 1940s, my father Wladimir was taken for comfort to Buttermere.
I too felt magic from the moment I arrived in the valley as a child and then as part of valley life.
Without warning I stayed away for a decade.
The moment of my return was a triumph over emotional illness and sadness.
This book has photos, letters, artefacts, old postcards, articles, stories, audio transcripts and just a little creative writing and art.
It is an invitation to share memories in the valley, in personal worlds and beyond ...
